EASTERN CAPE - NELSON MANDELA BAY CONFIRMED CASES RISE TO 276 WITH 10 DEATHS RECORDED ACROSS THE PROVINCE
The Eastern Cape's confirmed Covid-19 cases number 588, as of Monday night, with 53 new cases having been reported in the 24 hours since the previous release.
Nelson Mandela Bay tops the provincial list, with 276 confirmed coronavirus cases; followed by Buffalo City, with 150 cases;
Chris Hani district, with 87,
O.R. Tambo district, with 48;
Sarah Baartman district, with 16;
Amathole district, with 8; Joe
Qgabi district, with 2;
and Alfred Nzo district, with a single case.
According to health MEC Sindiswa Gomba, the province now has 42 recoveries.
“These recoveries once again prove what we have been saying — there might be no vaccine yet but testing positive is not a death sentence,” the MEC said.
“More people will continue testing positive as the worst is yet to come, but our dedicated workers are ready, willing and able to deal with this outbreak.
“We need more people to be tested so they can be treated.”

President should not have easy the lockdown he should have extended it there are people contracting this virus everyday with banks helping hundreds of customers who do not adhere to the rules and bank bosses not worried obout there staff shops in mall people standing in long lines not distancing he as well as the health minister must come to P.E espeespecially northern areas to see what is going on
