EASTERN CAPE - SANDF & SAPS TAKING CHARGE FROM PE'S NORTHERN AREAS TO ACROSS THE PROVINCE


The SAPS and SANDF made their presence nown around the Eastern Cape today via a whole range of activities, patrols and roadblock enforcing the governmetns regulations and checking that lockdown rules are being adhered to by citizens.

The South African Police Service and South African National Defence Force members took to the streets of the Northern Areas of Port Elizabeth making sure everyone is in compliance of the Regulations of Disaster Management Act.  Information was shared via loudhailers.  It was also emphasized that those ignoring the Regulations will be arrested.

SANDF and other Law enforcement members ensure that community members adhere to the Lockdown regulations at a roadblock on the N2 between East London and Berlin.



Ongoing awareness campaign on COVID-19 by SAPS continued today in Somerset East. Community members were sensitized about the national Lockdown regulations and warned to adhere to social distancing and nonessential movement.

  1. Would be nice to see the rifle with a magazine in it!
    Who they gonna intimidate with a non loaded ready rifle?
    At least let them put an empty magazine in if you don't want them to have ammo!
