PORT ELIZABETH - COVID-19 INFECTION CAUSES MOTHERWELL POLICE STATION TO SHUT DOWN

A second police station in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro had to close this month after a staff member tested positive for Covid19.

Spokesperson Brigadier Vish Naidu says the Motherwell station in PE is closed and as a result, the landline will not be accessible.

The building is currently undergoing decontamination and the public will be informed when it reopens.

The Community Service Centre will now be operating from new premises used as a contingency measure.

The temporary centre is at NU4(b) Shoprite Centre shop no2B in the Motherwell complex.

On the 1st of May, the police station in New Brighton also had to close after a staff member tested positive for Covd19
