NELSON MANDELA BAY - TRAFFIC & LICENSING SERVICES ACROSS THE BAY CLOSED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS INFECTIONS

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to inform residents about the closure of the Korsten Driving Licence Testing Centre after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.

The employee, a security guard, was last present at work on Thursday after falling ill and taking the COVID-19 test on the same day.

As a safety precaution NMBM has closed down the Korsten centre as all 39 staff members are now in quarantine.

We regret to inform the residents that traffic services such as the collection of driving licence cards, the renewal of driving licences and Public Driving Permits will be affected by the closure.

The Korsten Driving License and Testing Centre was the only centre that was operating in the City due to COVID-19 limitatons. On Tuesday morning decontamination and deep cleaning was conducted at the centre.

The centre will however reopen on 9 July after the 14 day quarantine period is over.

The centre in Uitenhage also remains closed till further notice..
