NELSON MANDELA BAY - UITENHAGE, MOUNT ROAD AND GELVANDALE POLICE STATIONS CLOSED AFTER CORONAVIRUS INFECTIONS
Three police stations in Nelson Mandela Bay are currently closed due to a member testing positive for the coronavirus.
They are the Mount Road, Uitenhage and Gelvandale police stations.
Gelvandale is set to re-open on Friday while the Community Service Centres at Mount Road and Uitenhage are currently being decontaminated and deep-cleaned.
Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana apologised for the inconvenience and said these communities will be advised when the community service centres re-open.,
The Community Service Centre at Mount Road is currently operating from the offices at the back of the police station.
This is the second time since lockdown that the Mount Road Station had to close due to Covid-19.
The Uitenhage Police Station is currently operating from the Clock Tower Building which is situated at the corner of Church and Caledon Streets.
