PORT ELIZABETH - 6 BRAZEN ARMED SUSPECTS ROB CASH IN TRANSIT VEHICLE IN BROAD DAYLIGHT IN NEWTON PARK
Port Elizabeth police are searching for at least six armed suspects who robbed a cash-in-transit vehicle in Newton Park on Friday afternoon.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Brenda Muridili says it is alleged that the CIT vehicle bumped into a car in front of it at one of the robots at around 15:00.
She says the suspects jumped from a nearby van and threatened to bomb the CIT vehicle.
They managed to flee the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
Muridili says no-one was injured during the incident.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspects is urged to contact the nearest police station.
