Willowvale Police arrested a 25-year-old man for alleged rape of a 24-year-old woman.
It is alleged that the victim was alone in her shack at Willowvale Informal Settlement, Willowvale on Monday, 20 July 2020.
The suspect, who is the former boyfriend to the victim, came to her shack at about 18h00.
The suspect was told to leave as he was no longer the boyfriend.
The suspect did not leave and instead it is alleged that he raped the 24-year-old woman.
A case of rape was registered at Willowvale Police Station.
The suspect was traced and arrested on Wednesday, 22 July 2020.
The suspect will appear before the Willowvale Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 24 July 2020 on a charge of rape.
