EASTERN CAPE - CHILDREN MAKE THE GRISLY DISCOVERY OF DEAD BODY WITH GUNSHOT WOUND IN HUMANSDORP BUSHES

Police are investigating a case of murder following the recovery of a body of a man in the bushes in Humansdorp.  

On Thursday, 27 August 2020 at about 15:30, it is alleged that a group of playing children stumbled across the body of a man lying in the bushes near Kuart and Krautz streets in Humansdorp. 

It is said that the children went to the nearest house to report the incident.  

At the scene, police found a lifeless body of an unknown man with a gunshot wound in the upper body. 

The deceased was wearing a khaki pair of trouser with SA flag on the right leg, a brown jacket, a black tracksuit top and with no shoes.

At this stage, the deceased and the motive for the murder are unknown.  

Police are urging anyone who may assist with identification of the deceased or have information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect (s) is urged to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Zuan Nepgen on 082 441 7613 or 081 234 7783.
