Somerset-East Regional Court convicted and sentenced 24-year-old Simthenbile Maza to undergo twelve (12) years imprisonment for the murder of a 34-year-old male.
The accused was sentenced on Thursday 06 August 2020 at the Somerset East Regional Court. It is alleged that on Saturday 15 December 2018 the deceased asked for a cigarette lighter from the accused and when the deceased fetched the lighter he got stabbed to death by the accused.
The accused later that night handed himself to the police.
The murder was committed in Nyanga street, Cookhouse
