NELSON MANDELA BAY - COVID-19 CASES CONTINUE TO SPIKE IN PORT ELIZABETH AND SURROUNDING AREAS

As of 22 November, 1587 people passed away due to the Corona virus, 561 new cases were recorded and 898 unknown location. 




Nelson Mandela Bay Residents are encouraged to make use of the mobile testing centres that are situated in their areas. 

A total of 33230 people have recovered from COVID-19 so far.

The hot spot areas in Nelson Mandela Bay were identified as follows:

- Motherwell or Ikamvelihle
- Soweto-on-sea
- Chatty
- Walmer
- New Brighton
- Kwa Nobuhle
- Cleary Park

The City continues to call for everyone to practice the strictest possible safety measures. Without fail, sanitise, wash hands regularly, keep a social distance of 1.5m, avoid social gatherings and wear your mask.
