PORT ELIZABETH - BETHELSDORP & KABEGA PARK POLICE STATIONS SHUT DOWN AFTER MEMBERS TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
SAPS Bethelsdorp Community Service Centre and SAPS Kabega Park station in Port Elizabeth are temporarily closed due to members having tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
SAPS Bethelsdorp CSC is temporarily operating from the West End community hall. There are no telephones at the hall and response assistance must be channelled through the 10111 centre. SAPS Kabega Park will be operating as follows:
Part of the Community Service Centre will be operating from the satellite station at Rocklands – response attendance and serious crime dockets opened at the satellite station.
The other part of the CSC will be operating from the SAPS Information Desk at the Baywest Shopping Centre – Affidavits, accident reports and permit applications will be done during the day and at Rocklands in the evening.
The station’s contact details will be temporarily suspended however contact to Rocklands satellite station is 041 9555710 and the Information Desk at Baywest, Col Tony Nomdoe on 082 303 0504/ Lt Col Deon Hattingh on 079 899 9031.
Decontamination will be done at both police stations and the community will be advised when they are once again operational.
