SAPS Algoa Park detectives are urging the community to assist them in tracing murder suspects who shot and killed a 37-year-old male in his house during the early hours of Sunday morning, 22 November 2020.
It is alleged that at about 02:30, Welile Yamaphi was sleeping in his home in Tromp Street in GG Grounds in Missionvale when unknown suspects forced opened the back door and security gate.
Yamaphi was found lying on the floor in his room with multiple gunshot wounds.
Neighbours heard the sound of gunfire at about 02:30 this morning.
The motive and suspects are unknown at this stage. The deceased was a security officer at a local hospital.
A case of murder is under investigation.
Police are urging the community not to keep silent should they know the whereabouts of the suspects. By keeping quiet you are aiding the criminals to continue committing crimes.
