PORT ELIZABETH - PLANNED WATER SHUTDOWN IN WELLS ESTATE, BEVERLEY GROVE AND FRAMESBY TO CONDUCT MAINTANANCE WORK THIS WEEK
The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality will carry out water infrastructure maintenance work this week.
This work will result in water shutdown in Wells Estate, Beverley Grove and Framesby.
Residents are advised that water supply will be temporarily shut off on Tuesday, 1 December 2020 between 09:00 and 14:00 in Wells Estate, between 09:00 and 14:00 on Wednesday, 2 December 2020 in Beverley Grove and between 09:00 and 14:00 on Thursday 2020 in Framesby.
The maintenance work will be conducted in these areas to ensure the City reduces water losses with routine maintenance on bulk water infrastructure.
This is part of the City’s efforts to reduce the probability of unforeseen water disruptions due to lack of maintenance.
The infrastructure maintenance work is also vital to preserve the lifespan of the City's water infrastructure.
The City has chosen to conduct the work between 09:00 and 14:00 to ensure that few consumers will be inconvenienced.
