SAPS Humewood detectives are urgently seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the mother of a new born baby girl found this afternoon, 31 January 2021 in Valley Road in Baakens Valley.

Inside the bag, the infant was found with the umbilical cord still attached. The race of the child is yet to be determined.
An inquest docket is opened for further investigation.
Anyone who can assist in tracing the mother or may know of any person who may have been recently being pregnant and may be suspicious of such person is asked to contact SAPS Humewood on 041 5045019/20 or Crime Stop 08600 10111 or their nearest police station.
