PORT ELIZABETH - TIP-OFF LEADS TO ARREST OF MAN, 35, IN POSSESSION OF 2 FIREARMS WITH FILED OFF SERIAL NUMBERS
On Thursday, 14/01 at about 20:20 detectives from SAPS Motherwell followed up on information received of unlicensed firearms at a house in NU 29 in Motherwell.
The information was operationalised and the house penetrated.
A 35-year-old man was found in the lounge with a black canvas bag on his lap.
Inside the bag two firearms were found.
Serial numbers of the firearms were filed off.
The man was arrested for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
He is expected to appear in court soon.
