Police members from Border Policing attached to the Port of Ngqura together with the relevant stakeholders confiscated fake perfumes, board games and unregistered insecticides from a store in William Moffett on Monday, 10 May 2021.
Reportedly, at about 12:00, police accompanied by officials from SARS, Department of Agriculture and patent attorneys inspected the store and seized 809 bottles of various brands of perfumes, 83 board games and various brands of unregistered insecticides.
The total amount of the confiscated items were R1 391 098, 00.
A 25-year-old man was fined R5000 and the goods were handed over to the registered patent attorneys for storage at a licenced warehouse.
