On the 24 July 2021, during Operation Vhuthu Hawe, Cradock Visible Police members made the following arrests:
Police Generated Crimes
2 Arrests for Possession of Tik, and
2 Arrests for Possession of Mandrax.
(63) Tik straws, (6) full Mandrax tablets, (5) x halve Mandrax tablets and (15) x quarter Mandrax tablets were confiscated at the Taxi rank in Cradock, after a tipoff from an anonymous person. Total estimated street value is R3000-00.
Other Crimes
(2) J534-fines issued for failure to wear masks, and
(1) J534-fine for Transporting of Liquor.
Fines issued to the value of R12 000-00.
We urge the community to report any crime that can lead to positive arrest.
The suspects are due to appear in court soon.
