GQEBERHA - PATROL DOGS TAKE DOWN SUSPECTS DIGGING UP CABLE BEHIND HUMEWOOD CEMETERY

It is alleged that on Saturday, 24 July 2021 at about 16:00, K9 members received and responded to information of suspects busy digging up cable behind the cemetery in Humewood. 




Due to the denseness of the bush, patrol dogs Bentley and Mufasa were released to locate the unknown number of suspects. 

Bentley apprehended the first suspect that was still in the trench busy digging and Mufasa apprehended the second suspect. 

Digging utensils were confiscated.

The suspects aged 57 and 58-years- old were detained on charges relating to the Criminal Matters Amendment Act 2015. (Act 18 of 2015) tampering, damaging or destroying of essential infrastructure.  They will appear in the Gqeberha magistrate court on Monday 26 July 2021.
