Due to the speedy response of SAPS Kwazakele Vispol Task Team members, a hijacked bakkie with its contents was recovered within 45 minutes of the incident.
It is alleged that on Thursday, 1 July 2012 at about 16:30, a bakkie loaded with furniture was hijacked in Joe Slovo by 3 unknown males.
The driver and his crew were also robbed of their personal belongings.
At about 17:10 SAPS Kwazakele Vispol Task Team members received information of furniture being off loaded in Manama Street in Zwide.
The area was extensively searched and some of the furniture was found in a yard in Isundu Street in Soweto-On-Sea.
The bakkie was recovered in Manga Street.
No suspects arrested.
The value of the recovered property is R30 000.
