On 18 August 2021, at about 20:45, a shooting incident was reported at Mbeki Street, Nomzamo area in Mlungisi.
On further investigation a 50-year-old male, Thamsanqa Ngcongca, was found lying in the street with gunshot wounds to his upper body.
The taxi owner had passed away on the scene.
It is further alleged that the deceased was the Secretary of a Taxi Association.
The motive for the killings are currently unknown. The community is requested to report any information to the Investigating Officer, Captain T.A. Buqwana at 071 352 4540.
