SAPS Ikamvelihle detectives is seeking the communities assistance in establishing the motive and tracing the suspect/s behind the fatal shooting of a man at a tavern in NU 1 in Motherwell on Friday evening, 3 September 2021.
It is alleged that at about 19:00, police responded to a complaint of a body at the Motherwell Health Centre.
It is further alleged that the deceased, Thabo Mosemola from Motherwell was dropped off at the health centre by a person (known to police) who informed the medical staff that Mosemola was shot at a tavern in Ramaphosa , NU 1.
He sustained a gunshot wound to the back of his neck.
Circumstances, motive and suspect/s are unknown at this stage.
Police are investigating a case of murder and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the fatal shooting or can assist in identifying the suspect/s to contact SAPS Ikamvelihle, D/Sgt James Mkhatshwa on 081 792 0943 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or their nearest police station.
