KARIEGA - 3 ARMED SUSPECTS STORM POST OFFICE IN DRAMATIC EARLY MORNING ROBBERY ATTEMPT

Complainant was opening outside front gate to post office when 3 males grabbed her, gagged her mouth, showed her 3 firearms and took the keys and opened the gate.  

They took her inside they and opened the depo entry gate. 

They opened the Area Contoller's office and left after not finding anything. 

They then went into the Supervisors office, where the complainant gave them a key from the drawer.

 

They tried to open the safe where staff tea and taxi money is kept. 

They could not gain entry. 

They went back to Supervisor's office and searched for keys. Area Controller arrived at 06:30. 

 They told the comlainant to wait in the office. 

They went into his office and demanded keys to the safe. He did not have keys. They told him to lie down. They took his cellular phone Samsung Galaxy A30 value R4000.

The suspects then left. 

The 3 suspects were wearing dark clothing, beanies and masks. 

No shots fired and no injuries occurred.

None of the victims have access to any money at the post office
