GQEBERHA - SHUTDOWN OF AIRPORT PIPELINE WILL SEE WATER DISRUPTIONS IN SUMMERSTRAND AND SURROUNDS

An emergency water shutdown is required to carry out critical leak repairs on the Airport pipeline. 




This shutdown is scheduled for today, November 21st, 2021. 

Areas that may experience low water pressure and disruptions include:

- 1st Avenue to 7th Avenue, Walmer
- South End 
- Forest Hill
- Humewood 
- Brookes Hill
- Upper part of Summerstrand

Water tankers have been deployed to the locations below:
1) Dawid Stuurman Airport
2) Elizabeth Donkin Hospital
3) Spar, Humerail 
4) Corner of Heugh Road and 7th Avenue, Walmer
5) Corner of Webber Street and Gladstone Street, South End

Kindly note that the water tankers may leave to refill however, they will return to the above locations.
