Five people killed in 2 separate road crashes on Eastern Cape roads on Christmas Day.
The worst of those claimed 4 lives on the R61 in Cofimvaba last night when a VW Polo collided head-on with a bakkie killing the 4.
Earlier in the day, a man believed to be an EC govt official died in a head-on collision on the N2 road near Qunu.
He was alone in the state vehicle he was driving when it collided with an suv.
The 2 occupants of the suv were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Culpable homicide dockets have been opened for each of these accidents
