Police arrested a 51-year-old woman for allegedly killing her boyfriend following a 13th cheque argument in Cookhouse last night.
On Wednesday, 15 December 2021 at about 23:50, it is said that a 38-year-old man was walking in Raymond Mhlaba Street, Bongweni location (Cookhouse), when his girlfriend accosted him, it is said that the two were involved in a brief argument when she subsequently became angry and stabbed him once in the upper body. Akhona Sondlo (38), was declared dead at the scene.
It is believed that an argument was about his 13th cheque.
A 51-year-old woman was arrested and is due to appear in the Somerset East magistrate’s court on Monday, 20 December 2021 on charges of murder.
