It was a day of jubilation and celebration as 97 Metro Police and Traffic Service recruits graduated from the Traffic College in Greenbushes on Friday, December 09, 2021.
Class 1 of 2020 was a part of a community development programme designed to empower NMBM's unemployed youth.
The cadets were set to receive twelve months of training as basic traffic officers in 2020.
However, graduation had to be postponed due to COVID-19 challenges.
The ceremony began with the Cadets demonstrating their parading abilities to the delight of their family members, who applauded with pride and admiration.
Deputy Director of Traffic and Licensing, Warren Prins, expressed his delight that the journey had come full circle despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
He also expressed his pride in the students who demonstrated dedication and commitment to the opportunity that was presented to them.
