SAPS Swartkops Detectives are investigating a culpable homicide involving an LDV and a truck early this morning, on the N2 Colchester.
It is alleged that early this morning at approximately 01:30 on the N2, near Cerebos, Coega direction Gqeberha, the Isuzu bakkie was stationary on the yellow lines.
The truck that was also traveling towards Gqeberha bumped the LDV on the side, causing the truck to overturn.
It is further alleged that the driver of the bakkie was standing next to the vehicle on impact of the accident. A 39-year-old man passed away on the scene.
Six occupants of the bakkie and the truck driver were transported to hospital for treatment.
The name of the deceased will only be released at a later stage.
The investigation is ongoing.
