The public will know this week if they’ll be forking out more for their electricity.
Eskom is asking for 20.5 percent tariff increase.
The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa) is yet to decide.
Energy advisor Ted Blom said there’s no justification for Eskom’s application for the increase.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry says this combined with the substantial fuel price increases will spell disaster.
