It is alleged that on Wednesday, 18 January 2023 at about 13:30, the complainant (24) was standing in Scholtz Street in Bloemendal when the suspect walked past with his son from school.
The suspect pointed the complainant with a firearm.
The complainant had walked away and while he was in Aspelling Street in Bloemendal, the suspect returned and fired a shot at the complainant but missed.
On Saturday, 21 January 2023, SAPS Bethelsdorp detectives arrested the 28-year-old suspect and detained him on a charge of attempted murder.
He will appear in the Gqeberha magistrate court on Monday, 23 January 2023.
