GQEBERHA | AUTHORITES SWOOP DOWN AND CONFISCATE COUNTERFEIT GOODS WORTH OVER R500 000 IN KORSTEN

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has issued a warning to residents to refrain from buying counterfeit goods following the confiscation of illegal creams and tablets valued at R515 000 in Korsten on Thursday, 2 March 2023.


During the joint operation between NMBM and SAPS, a total of 4985 viagra/sexual enhancement, 492 betasol creams, 192 disprosion lotions, 150 esapharma lemonvate, 130 esapharma movate and 1860 adcodol illegal tablets were confiscated and booked at the Gelvandale Police Station.

The operation which included officials from Metro Police, Public Health, Town Rangers, Traffic Services and Human Settlements, also resulted in section 24 notices issued for illegal waste disposal.

R7500 worth of traffic fines, two vehicles towed away and 16 fines issued for the contravention of NMBM by-laws.
