Incidents have been reported where abandoned tyres were located at key points such as intersections (trees nearby) and similar types of areas.


Tyres are currently being dumped, as it may be difficult to transport tyres to these areas at a later stage. 

So, please be on the lookout for such dumping of tyres or other goods that may be used to block roads.

Please report any instances of tyres being transported or dumped to your local SAPS, CPF or Security groups for a quick response, if possible, with a GPS location and a picture of the tyres/goods in question.

For Gqeberha, the Emergency landline phone number received from Colonel Brass, the Station Commander at SAPS MOUNT ROAD, this is the number at the JOC ( joint operational centre) that can be used on Monday, ONLY to report INCIDENTS related to the EFF STRIKE Mount Road Operational JOC relating to Shutdown only.

All Other Crime Related Incidents must still be reported to the 10111 Call Centre for attention.
Other crime incidents should still be reported to 10111.
