Police in Humansdorp are looking for a 33-year-old Jonathan Laken who was reported missing on Wednesday 27 January 2016. Laken is mostly known by the nickname of “Banana”, and was last seen getting in a red Volkswagen Polo.
Jonathan Laken of 690 Goeda Street, Arcadia in Humansdorp was reported missing by his girlfriend after he did not return home from visiting friends in St Francis Bay. It is alleged that Laken accompanied his friends to Sea Vista in St Francis Bay on Friday, 22 January 2016 in the early hours of the morning. Laken then allegedly got into a red VW Polo in St Francis Bay with two males and has not been seen since.
Any person who can assist the police with information is urged to contact Warrant Officer Llewellyn Hoffman at 042 200 1500 from Humansdorp Detectives. The circumstance into the alleged disappearance of Laken is under investigation but the South African Police Service is in need of the assistance by the community to come forward with any information that may lead to his whereabouts.
