On 19 July 2016, the Gang Task Team arrested a 34 year suspect for the alleged murder Sean Berry (30) alias Naco. It is alleged that on 19 June 2016 at about 20:45, Sean Berry and his friend were standing outside Berry’s parent’s house in Barends Street, Salt Lake when three males approached them. The suspects started shooting at the duo.Berry sustained multiple gunshots to his body while the other victim
was shot twice. Berry died while on the way to hospital. The suspects fled on foot.
Gregory Mali appeared in court on 20 July 2016 and remains in custody until his next appearance 28 July 2016.
