A 16 year-old learner from a Port Elizabeth school has been arrested for the hijacking and murder of 53 year-old local resident Magda van Vuuren.
She was shot in the back in Adcockvale on Monday afternoon by a schoolboy in uniform, who then fled in her old boxer-type BMW.
Warrant Officer Alwin Labans says Van Vuuren had been visiting her mother who lives on the corner of Diaz and Kingston streets when the incident happened.
