PORT ELIZABETH - 53 YEAR OLD WOMAN MURDERED BY TEEN IN SCHOOL UNIFORM IN HIJACKING

A 53 year old Port Elizabeth woman shot in the back and killed by a teenager in school uniform in what  police suspect to be car hijacking.

"URGENT ........ URGENT ......... URGENT.........

Please be on the lookout for a GOLD BMW - registration: BDG625EC. PLEASE NOTE - DO NOT try and apprehend - or get to close - occupants are armed and dangerous.

A woman was hijacked an hour ago in Diaz Road near the Savoy Theatre - she was shot twice and has since passed away.

Vehicle taken - NOTE - THEY ARE ARMED AND NOT AFRAID TO SHOOT!!!

Please note: The suspects were wearing Westview School clothing at the time of the hijacking. TAKE NOTE: This does NOT mean they are pupils at the school - it could very well be that they did it to avoid suspicion!!!

Port Elizabeth police are searching for a schoolboy, dressed in uniform, who shot and killed a woman in Adcockvale on Monday afternoon and sped off in her old box-type BMW which is silver/gold in colour.

Warrant Officer Alvin Labans has named the deceased as 53 year-old local resident Magda van Vuuren. He says Van Vuuren was visiting her mother at her home on the corner of Diaz and Kingston streets, when she was approached by the suspect, dressed in school uniform.

He says a shot was fired, and an argument ensued between the two.Labans says a further two shots were fired, and Van Vuuren was hit in the back.

She was rushed to Livingston hospital where she died a short while later. Labans says a man hunt has been launched for the young suspect and that police are investigating a case of murder and hijacking.
