Off-duty Flying Squad constable instrumental in arrest of three teens in connection with murder/hijacking.
On Monday, 12 September 2016, at about 14:00, a 53 year old woman was shot dead and her gold BMW m/vehicle taken outside a house in Parsons Hill, Port Elizabeth.
At about 19:26, an off-duty Flying Squad member, Constable Severiano Blundin, spotted the vehicle at a petrol garage in Blue Waters Bay and called for back up from on-duty Flying Squad members.
Three teenagers (15 and 16 years old) were arrested, the vehicle recovered and a firearm seized.
The off-duty member is commended for his vigilance and for following the correct procedure by calling for back-up.
