The East London Regional Court sent 28-year-old Sithembiso Mkuwambi of Kwetyana location, Macleantown outside East London to serve life imprisonment in jail.This is after he was convicted for the rape of his cousin, a 13-year-old boy in 2017.
The sentence should serve as a reminder that sexual offences will not be tolerated in our society, even more serious when these acts are committed on children.
The acting Mdantsane Custer Commander, Brigadier Marinda Mills has welcomed this sentence and congratulated the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Sizeka Mangesi on her sterling job well done.
