A 31-year-old suspect was arrested with about 100 mandrax tablets by SAPS Bethelsdorp CPU members who were patrolling the hotspot area when they spotted him.It is alleged that on Thursday, 27 February 2020 at 09:00, the members were busy patrolling in Ext 33, Bethelsdorp when they noticed a suspicious person walking. The members stopped and searched the suspect and found a plastic bag containing 100 mandrax tablets. The suspect was arrested on a charge of possession of drugs.
He will appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate court soon. The estimated value of the drugs is R40 000-00.
