The Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) in Port Elizabeth are urgently seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a 16-year-old teenage girl who walked out of a place of safety in Cleary Park on 06 October 2020.
It is alleged that at about 14:00, Miss Andisiwe Makinana (16) entered the dining hall with the supervisor and asked if she could go to the toilet. When the supervisor realised that she did not return, a thorough search of the premises was conducted. It is not the first time that Miss Makinana had left.
At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing blue jeans, a black track suit top and a pair of All Stars black and white takkies. Her family home in Nkewana Street in Kwazakele was visited several times with no results.
Police suspect that she may be in the Kwazakele vicinity where a number of people have reportedly seen her. Anyone who can assist police in tracing her or may know of her whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Sergeatn Kelibone Mokhatla on 071 475 2327 or Crime Stop 08600 10111 or their nearest police station.
