A 24 year old wheelchair bound man was arrested last night, 04 November 2020 soon after a house robbery in Guava Street in Jacksonville.
It is alleged that at about 21:00, the 35-year-old complainant was sitting inside his house watching TV when he heard the suspect who lives opposite his house shouting his name and swearing at him.
The suspect wanted him to open the door but he refused.
As the complainant went to speak to him through a window, his kitchen door was kicked opened and two males entered the house.
The complainant grappled with one of the suspect’s however they still managed to run off with the TV set.
The value of the set is approximately R5000.
The 24-year-old man was detained on a charge of house robbery and will appear in the Port Elizabeth magistrates’ court today, 05 November 2020.
The two other suspects are still outstanding.
