On Wednesday afternoon, 06 January 2021, the Detective Trio Task Team members arrested three suspects for an alleged business robbery which took place in December 2020 in Central.
It is alleged that on 17 December 2020 at about 16:40, a clothing store in Govan Mbeki Street was robbed at gunpoint by several males. Cash, cellphones and clothing were taken.
At about 15:30 on 06 January 2021, the Detective Trio Task Team members with the assistance of SAPS Humewood Crime Prevention members followed up on information received of three of the suspects at the taxi rank in Govan Mbeki Street.
The suspects aged between 30-36 years old were arrested and detained on a charge of business robbery.
They will appear in the Port Elizabeth magistrates’ court on Friday, 08 January 2021.
