At about 07:15 this morning police in Kwadwesi were alerted to a body lying next to Old Uitenhage Road, Govan Mbeki.
The deceased person, identified as Sithembele Nxoyeka, aged 31, sustained severe head and body injuries.
The deceased resided in the same area.
The motive and circumstances for his murder is under investigation.
