NELSON MANDELA BAY | MUNICIPALITY: VANDALISM CAUSING WATER DISRUPTION IN KWANOBUHLE AREA AND SURROUNDS

The Loerie Water Treatment Works is currently offline due to cable theft affecting the controls to final water pumps. 

This is being seen to and the plant will be running by tomorrow.

Unfortunately, this will affect areas of KwaNobuhle and residents supplied from the Loerie system bulk pipelines.

A second act of vandalism caused another spray of water when criminals stole an air valve off of a pipeline close to Standford Road in the Jacksonville area. 

Maintenance teams should have repairs completed before storage runs dry.
